If your school uses the LDAP service from eBackpack please remember we have three requirements.
1) The user names used in your LDAP directory must match the user names in eBackpack.
a. If you are using our SIS automation capability, the username must be provided by your SIS system (or be easily available as part of a field e.g. part before the @ of an email address). We are unable to combine firstname.lastname or make other similar changes as we can not guarantee uniqueness in that method.
2) Your LDAP server must be configured to support LDAPS (the LDAPoverSSL protocol).
All LDAP servers allow you to run these at the same time, should you not want to use LDAPS locally.
3) Your LDAP server must be accessible from eBackpack servers using a public host
name or IP address, and must have a configurable port allowed through your firewall.
Account SuperUsers with LDAP service may contact eBackpack for information on IP Addresses and Ranges
