Importing grades into Skyward

eBackpack offers a Skyward grade export format that imports easily into Skyward.

The grades can now be imported using the Import Assignment Scores capability in Skyward.  
 
Assignments:
  1. Export grades from eBackpack
    1. Choose an assignment folder in one of your classes.
    2. Click the Export icon on the Assignment Submissions Panel
  2. Create a new assignment in Skyward grade book (or you can use an already created assignment)
  3. Hover over Assignments then click on Import Assignment Scores. 
    1. If you do not see the Import Assignment Scores option, please contact your school's Skyward administrator to enable this functionality.
  4. Your assignment should now be visible, if not, check one or both boxes to show additional assignments.  Choose an assignment.
  5. Click Browse to find the CSV file that you exported from eBackpack.
  6. Click "Import Scores". 
  7. Click "Use Imported Scores" after reviewing the data preview of grades to be imported.
  8. If there are no changes to the grades, just click "Save" to complete the process.  In this step you may add comments or other information.
  9. All done!  The scores are saved into the assignment and the information will show on the main gradebook view.
Assessments:
  1. Export grades from eBackpack
    1. Grades will be exported as a percentage (example: 4/10 = 40)
  2. Create a new assignment in Skyward grade book (or you can use an already created assignment)
    1. In Skyward set the "max score" to "100"
    2. In Skyward set the "weight" to ".1"
  3. Hover over Assignments then click on Import Assignment Scores. 
    1. If you do not see the Import Assignment Scores option, please contact your school's Skyward administrator to enable this functionality.
  4. Your assignment should now be visible, if not, check one or both boxes to show additional assignments.  Choose an assignment.
  5. Click Browse to find the CSV file that you exported from eBackpack.
  6. Click "Import Scores". 
  7. Click "Use Imported Scores" after reviewing the data preview of grades to be imported.
  8. If there are no changes to the grades, just click "Save" to complete the process.  In this step you may add comments or other information.
  9. All done!  The scores are saved into the assignment and the information will show on the main gradebook view.

ACCOUNT SETUP STEPS (ONE TIME BY ACCOUNT SUPER USER)
To get started....
  1. An account super user will need to switch to the Skyward export format.  Superusers can go to Account Settings -> Account Management -> Feature Settings,  and switch the grade export to reference Skyward
  2. Contact eBackpack to set-up the Skyward linked field during import on user records.
