  • Will every assignment I create automatically send to PowerTeacher?
    • New assignments will use the default class setting to sync or not sync. 
    • Assignments that were created prior to the PowerTeacher sync are set to no. You can manually switch these to yes. 
  • Do I have to create the assignment in eBackpack and PowerTeacher?
    • No, you only need to create the assignment in eBackpack, and we'll send the data to PowerTeacher. 
  • What if I create an assignment in PowerTeacher?
    • The assignment will not display in eBackpack. 
  • What if I grade with percentages?
    • Set your default point value to 100. 
  • What if I grade with points, not percentages?
    • Adjust each assignment's point values to the appropriate max score.
  • What if I use letter grades?
    • At this time, we only support points and percentages. 
  • What are the evaluation categories?
    • Homework, quiz, test, and project.
  • Can I create my own grade categories?
    • Not at this time.
  • What if I change my assignment name, due date, or point value in eBackpack?
    • These settings will automatically update in PowerTeacher.
  • What if I change my assignment name, due date, or point value in PowerTeacher?
    • These changes will NOT be seen in eBackpack.
  • What if I delete the assignment in eBackpack?
    • The assignment will remain in PowerTeacher. If you create an assignment with the same name as the deleted assignment, it will create a new assignment in PowerTeacher. You can delete out the first assignment within PowerTeacher to prevent duplication. 
  • Does the grade sync work with assessments?
    • Yes, the grade sync works with assessments and assignments.
    • Your grade point value for assessments will be determined by the total points available after creating the assessment.
  • Can I manually change grades in PowerTeacher?
    • Yes, but the grades will not be reflected in eBackpack.
  • Will my comments show up in PowerTeacher?
    • Yes, anything left in the review section of a graded assignment will import as a comment to PowerTeacher.
  • Does this work with manually created classes?
    • No, this feature is only available for imported classes. 
  • Can I grade on the iPad, Windows 8, or Android?
    • Yes, all grades are cross-platform. You will only see your grade sync status on the web platform. 
  • Are grades sent immediately to PowerTeacher?
    • Grades will be queued immediately. It may take time if there are several submissions waiting to be synced. 
  • Will I know that my grades are synced while I'm still in eBackpack?
    • Yes, when viewing a submission list, you will see a progress icon to the right of each submission indicating its status. 
  • What do I do if the grade doesn't send?
    • You will have the ability to resync each grade.
  • What if a student has multiple graded submissions? 
    • The most recently reviewed grade will be synced with PowerTeacher. 
  • Will the PowerTeacher grade sync work if my school has PowerSchool but does not automate with eBackpack?
